Is a streaming protocol used for delivering Internet Video. It allows efficient adaptive streaming by breaking down videos into smaller segments and dynamically adjusting the quality based on the bandwidth of the recipient.

This is done by having a HTTP Server hold a manifest file that provides URL for each version and their corresponding bit rate. The client then selects one chunk of the video at a time by specifying the URL and byte range in its GET request for each chunk.
