A data structure used in The Network Layer to map flows (set of packet header fields) to one or more actions.
Each entry contains:
- Match fields
- Priority (higher values checked first)
- Action list (forward, drop, modify, count, etc.)
Used in Generalised Forwarding and Software-defined Networking (SDN).
Often implemented by OpenFlow.
