Application Layer protocol with Transport Layer features developed by Google to provide secure, low-latency communication over the internet.
It is an extension to UDP where several features are added:
- Three-Way Handshake
- Encryption
- Allows multiple streams of data to be transmitted over a single connection through
streams - Congestion control
